Inspired by the times, my friends and I decided to put togther a groove, soul and funk band. We are performing our favorite songs from artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Dianna Ross, Donna Summer and more. We even through in some of my originals and spun em' around. I can't wait to get some more of these recordings out there. For now, check out a few snaps from our second rehearsal ever here as DC AND THE FUNKY BUNCH.

Country Music has always been a favorite of mine, and to get to sing it with some of the most talented musicians in my town has been such a blessing. We have been playing together for about two months now and we already packed the house at some of my favorite NYC venues. Check out our day time performance at Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden here

Lately, it feels like there has been a resurgence of my work. Recently I posted my old video "Inside Your Groove" on my youtube page and I immediately followed that up with Up On The Roof available everywhere for streaming. I feel like in many ways I've been stuck in the olden days. But something told me to upload them. The first reactions to my video were mostly positive and a handful of dislikes. I always get a good mix of both sides but art and music pumps through my veins the way birds flock from coast to coast. I fluctuate between art and music. I "change with the seasons", just like my song! I really hope you get a chance to listen to my album if you have never heard it, and I hope it resonates with your soul the way going up on my roof at 5 am with my phone that summer where I hit record and made my record. I know it's low fi and maybe that is why it feels as close to me as it does. 

Up On The Roof isn't a normal album, then again I'm not a normal artist. So it's a match made in heaven. Long behold world, Spotify playlists', and DJs alike, please copy my link and add it to your mixes. I dare you!!

Wow!! the day is finally here! 

I started this video a little over a month ago, recorded it a little over two months ago and all I can say is every moment that I got closer and closer to today, the more and more things I wanted to add to make it better and better. I probably haven't worked on anything this is hard in a really long time and I am so happy with how everything came out. From the music to the visuals. It is a perfectly romantic song, just how I like to write 'em.' Ain't it funny how a little love can really push you forward in life? When there is pure love there is no price attached. This project is pure love. So from my heart to yours I give you "To Be Loved By You" a song by Doris Cellar written about a very special person to whom I dedicate it to. You know who you are. Thank you for opening my heart up. And thanks to all my fans who stuck by me, I know I've been sparse and in between. Dipping into different projects throughout the last few years trying to find my way. It means a lot to me that you love me so much. Life can be a wonder when you're wondering. I'm glad I made it back to this place of rebirth. Haven't felt this good in a while!

Hey everybody!!!

Hope all is well with you and yours. This weekend, actually the last few weekends have been really great because the weather finally let up and there has been so much sunshine in my city! 

I headed over to Washington Square Park where I laid out some of my latest pieces of art (been on my tie dye kick lately) and watched a lovely band, The Buck and a Quarter who sound so much like they're from the 20's it's freaky. When i came back to watch them for the second time the singer had mentioned he got to listen to some of my music online and has really been enjoying it. Made me feel wonderful hearing that from such an eclectic musician such as himself! 

So yeah things have been awesome in the art world, and as far as music goes i have a brand new video and song coming out this week!!!! What day you ask? FRIDAY THE 16th! And it just so happens two of my great friends; Chris and Sam are getting married the next day and I get to perform for the love birds! I can hardly wait. What a great week!

I'm very excited to announce my new song ❤️ “To Be Loved By You” ❤️ will be released April 16th 🎶 and comes with an awesome handmade stop motion animation I crafted right in my living room. 

Thanks to a little app called "Stop Motion" a lighting rig from Amazon, silly cut outs from some old memories I had been keeping in a shoe box,  the amazing portrait artist near Rockefeller Center who painted me back in 2016, and over 100 hours of work I have a brand spanking new video that I really hope you’ll take a listen to on April 16th! Hey Everyone! Alas the records finally came in after being stuck in Philadelphia  for a whole month due to the pandemic but I was literally jumping up and down when they arrived.  I bounced them from vinyl to the internet right away and I am just so excited to be able to share some of the session with you here. I didn't get to record all of the songs because we ran out of time but I love the way the vinyl sounds with the music I did record.  It reminds me of a crackled fire place in a cottage and there is something just so organic about it. Now every time I listen I can remember four of my musician friends making sweet sweet music with me over at Greenpoint in Leesta Vall sound recording studio.  I adored recording with them. Hope you enjoyed us jamming out!

I have been chosen to do a really cool project where I record a live session directly on to vinyl with Leesta Vall Sound Recordings!   The only catch is that you get to pick which songs I record.  How neat is that!?!   We'll be recording on November 14, 2020.  I've never heard of anything like this.
